Gazebo Wine Garden

2 Elizabeth Bay Road
Elizabeth Bay

We LOVE Gazebo. It’s warm, friendly, has great service, a great vibe, great music, great looking men and great wine. Just great! Hey… did we tell you how great it was … ok, ok you get the picture. And no, they’re not paying us to say this. As an all round bar for us, it ticks all the right boxes.

Gazebo Wine Bar has a distinct feel and it’s one that’s had us coming back for more. We’ve taken our nearest and dearest and they’ve loved it too. Bring your friends they’ll be impressed with your excellent taste and choice of bar. It’s a mature crowd, not as in old or boring, more like quality not quantity.

It’s cool and sophisticated without being overstated. You have an option of sitting at long wooden tables with enough space between you where you don’t feel like your sitting on strangers or overhearing intimate conversations. Or you can have a more intimate arrangement on cozy leather lounge seats or tables for two. The leather lounge seats you won’t want to get out of. The bar is intimate and perrrfect for a romantic date. I bought a date here and he loved it, and loved me for it later… nudge nudge wink wink…

You’ll be surrounded by candles and quirky décor that all seems to work without being loud or obtrusive. The music is smooth, sexy with funky beats and perfect for the look and feel of bar. Everything blends and works really well.

The service is fantastic and the staff are well trained in matching food and wine and are never too far away should you need anything. We've never had to wait and there’s an ease and grace about the bar and wait staff. I’ve been on occasions when it’s been packed and the same quality service is provided as on a quieter nights.

They have an ‘eclectic gastropub style menu’. Not really sure what ‘gastropub’ means, but it’s simple and delicious. The starter plates are generous, plus daily specials which are great value. My favourite is Monday’s 2 for 1 Muscles with prawns, lobster and brandy sauce. Each month there is usually a country theme where you can experience the food, wine and music of that country. It’s really cool. The month of Paris was unforgettable, I was introduced to Grenache and fell in love.

On each occasion its been a whole experience with the staff on hand to advise what wine goes best with what dish. It’s a real treat if you are adventurous enough to allow the staff to look after you. I haven’t been disappointed yet in what’s been chosen. If you are anything like me, someone who has no idea about wine it’s great to have someone tell you about it, choose it, and the best bit you get to drink it. My pallet has never been the same. Seriously. I’m head over heals with the Mon Redon, thank you David for that recommendation.

Needless to say the bar has an extensive wine list, over 50 different wines available at any time.

Men: Understated and mature. There’s that word again... Think sophisticated, accomplished, well dressed and very easy to look at. We don’t reckon he’s a wham bam thank you mama kind a man that comes here. Ok, we’ve been wrong before.

Loo’s: well it’s quirky, yes there’s only one. Don’t bother with the make up you won’t see yourself in the mirror. It’s dark in there. It’s strange and quirky. It’s in and out. No loo buddy needed, and even if you wanted one it’s awkward.

We’re big fans of Gazebo. For something cool, eclectic and stylish it’s a must for all women to come at least once.

Summary:
Perrfect for a romantic date, or bringing people you want to impress. Great for corporate after work drinks and girly catch up drinks.

It’s a bar we could happily linger in with or without a meal while sipping a great glass of wine. It’s warm, intimate and quirky. You’ll get great service, lots to look at, it’s bar of quality and style. Enjoy ladies we love it.
